FAQ

General

Is there a user Guide that explains how to use OmniFunds?

No, however, you will find “How To” videos and answers to many frequently asked questions by clicking FAQ and SUPPORT at the top of the OmniFunds website

Do you offer advice on how to invest?

OmniFunds is a completely automated investment platform. We do not offer advice on which OmniFund to use or which securities to buy or sell.   Each OmniFund shows statistics on the historical trades, including Max Draw Down, and the trades themselves.  All users should review this information to make an informed decision as to whether a particular Omnifund is appropriate for their risk tolerance and objectives.

How can I get in touch with you?

If you have any questions about the OmniFunds platform, just send us an email at sales@nirvsys.com and we’ll be happy to answer your question within 24 business hours. For other ways to contact us, please click on the About Us link on the main menu.

How Do OmniFunds Compare to the Robo Advisors?

Robo Advisor is an investment service that provides automated portfolio management without human intervention of discretion.  The portfolio is managed by computer algorithms which determine the ETFs held and the allocation for each security.

OmniFunds is a hands-on investment platform.  You, as the user, can see the trades being made in the OmniFunds that have been created, including the history, providing transparency that is generally not available from Robo Advisors.  You can also easily switch between OmniFunds at any time.  Robo Advisors follow "Modern Portfolio Theory" to determine which ETFs to switch into monthly As explained on the How it Works page, OmniFunds uses Market State, Filters, and Rankers to select securites to switch into.

These are just a few of the many differences between most Robo Advisors and OmniFunds. Explore our website and you’ll see that we offer what you are really looking for in an investments service: a modern approach that is determined to provide higher returns while constantly looking to minimize your market risk.

Connecting to Your Broker

How Can I Set Up an Account for OmniFunds?

OmniFunds currently uses a US regulated broker known for the quality of its trade execution.

We will help you with the process of establishing an account with your broker, as well as configuring it to work properly with OmniFunds. Call 800-880-0338 or email support@nirvsys.com.

How do I connect OmniFunds to my broker account?

View the “Connecting your Broker” video in the list of Onboarding Videos located under the Support Page on the OmniFunds2 website.

If you have questions or need help contact customer service at 1.800.880.0338 > Option 3.

My broker says my account is funded, but I don’t know my GXTrader login credentials.

After your brokerage account is funded and ready to trade, you will receive an email from your broker with the subject line “Password Initialization.” There will be a link in this email which will prompt you to create a GXTrader password. Once the password is created, wait 5 minutes and then you will be able to connect to your brokerage account.

If I deposit more Funds into my brokerage account, will OmniFunds see the funds automatically?

Yes, however, expect to wait until the following business day after the deposit to see the funds under Equity Currently in Account on the OmniFunds page.

Does it matter what time of day I connect my account?

OmniFunds will place new open orders or close orders with the broker at the close of the market if  the OmniFund has been connected to the broker during the market day.  If the account is connected after the market Close it will place the orders the next market day at the open, after that  it will enter and exit trades at the close.   Please avoid connecting or making any changes to OmniFunds within 1 hour prior to the market close.

Auto-Trade

How do I know what AutoTrade level to choose?

Auto-Trade subscriptions levels are determined automatically by the amount of capital you want to auto-trade with.  Click here https://www.omnifunds2.com/omnifunds-pricing/,  or look for the PRICING link at the top of the OmniFunds2 website to determine auto trade costs for your account size.

How Your Auto-Trade Fee Is Calculated

How Your Auto-Trade Fee Is Calculated

A plain-English guide to the daily average method now used for Variable Auto-Trade billing

We have changed how we calculate your monthly Auto-Trade fee. Your fee is now based on the daily average of what you had working in Auto-Trade across your whole billing cycle, instead of a single snapshot of your account.

The rates are not changing. The fee schedule is exactly the same as before. What is changing is that we now look at every day of your billing cycle instead of one moment in time.

Why We Changed It

A single snapshot is not a fair picture of how you actually used the service.

Under the old method, your bill depended on what your account happened to look like when we checked. If you had a large position open on that particular day, you paid the higher rate for the entire month, even if you had been mostly idle. If you happened to be flat that day, you paid less than someone with identical activity.

Averaging every day of the cycle means your bill reflects what you actually did, not the timing of when we looked.

How Your Fee Is Calculated

  1. Every day, we look at how much of your account was actually being used by Auto-Trade and note the fee rate for that amount.
  2. At the end of your billing cycle, we add up all of those daily figures and divide by the number of days in the cycle.
  3. That average is your bill for the cycle.

Days when you were not auto-trading count as zero, and those zeros are included in the average. They pull your bill down.

What counts as money working in Auto-Trade?

Only the equity actually put to work by Auto-Trade. It is not your total account balance, and it is not your buying power. If you trade on margin, the amount we count is capped at your actual account equity, so margin does not inflate your fee.

The Rates

The daily rate is based on the amount working in Auto-Trade that day:

Amount working in Auto-TradeDaily rate
Up to $100,000$99
$100,001 to $250,000$199
$250,001 to $500,000$299
$500,001 to $1,000,000$499
Each additional $1,000,000Add $499
For example, $1,500,000 working in Auto-Trade is $499 for the first million plus $299 for the remaining $500,000, giving a daily rate of $798.

Remember that this is the rate used for a single day. Your actual bill is the average of every day in your cycle.

Examples

Example 1: an active stretch, then a quiet stretch

You had $250,000 working in Auto-Trade for 10 days, then closed out and did not auto-trade for the remaining 20 days of your cycle.

  • 10 days at the $199 rate = $1,990
  • 20 days at $0 = $0
  • $1,990 divided by 30 days

Your bill: $66

Under the old snapshot method, if we had checked your account on one of those 10 active days, you would have been billed $199 for the month.

Example 2: increasing your allocation mid-cycle

You ran $75,000 for the first 15 days, then increased to $200,000 for the last 15 days.

  • 15 days at the $99 rate = $1,485
  • 15 days at the $199 rate = $2,985
  • $4,470 divided by 30 days

Your bill: $149

Common Questions

What if I do not auto-trade at all during a cycle?

Then every day averages to zero and there is no fee for that cycle. You are only billed for the days your money was actually working.

Does one big day set my bill for the whole month?

No. That is the main point of the change. A single day at a higher tier moves your average by roughly one day's worth, not the whole month.

Will my billing date change?

No. Your renewal date stays the same. The cycle we average over is the period between your renewal dates.

Are amounts rounded?

Yes, to the nearest dollar.

Where can I see this?

Your invoice shows the amount billed for the cycle. If you would like a breakdown of how the average was calculated for your account, contact Customer Service and we will walk you through it.

When does this take effect?

This applies starting with your [DATE] billing cycle. Your invoice for that cycle will be the first one calculated using the daily average.

Yes. The tier level will automatically change depending on how much equity OmniFunds is trading. This is determined by your broker equity and your Capital Under Management percentage to trade.

Can I choose more than one Fund at a time to trade in my account?

No. Only one OmniFund can be connected to your broker account at a time.

Placing Trades

How often will an OmniFund re-balance or switch its holding?

Our current OmniFunds will analyze current and potential holdings. Based on this analysis, an OmniFund may adjust current position size or change the securities being held.

There is also the possibility that an OmniFund will make adjustments if a Market State changes. While a Market State change will not occur often, if this were to happen it can cause an OmniFund to change holdings or adjust position size. To learn more about Market States, please visit our How it Works page.

When will OmniFunds enter trades?

OmniFunds will place new opening and closing orders with the broker at the close of the market day.

What is the Capital under Management setting used for?

Capital Under Management is used to set the percentage of equity in the account to be allocated to OmniFunds.

Example – Setting Capital Under Management to 50% of a $100,000 account, will allow OmniFunds to allocate $50,000 to trades. The rest of the account will remain in cash.

What does the “Order Type to use After Market open setting” mean?

OmniFunds will apply Market on Close orders in most situations. However, a Market on Close order may sometimes be rejected.  In this case OmniFunds will resubmit the order the next day at the open.  This setting allows you to choose either Market Orders or Limit Orders. For Limit Orders, the limit price applied will be set to the close price of the day that the initial order was issued for.  However, if the stock’s price never reaches this limit price, you may not ever get into the trade for that position.  For this reason, Market Orders are set as default.

How do I close all my OmniFunds positions?

If your account is connected to OmniFunds and has open positions, you can close them at any time. Log-in and go to your MY OMNIFUNDS page. Click the CHANGE button next to the “Capital under management *:” setting. Change the setting to 0%.

OmniFunds will then prompt you to choose when to close the trades.

  1. Adjust the positions at the next regular trade window, and not immediately

  1. Adjust the positions as soon as possible, immediately if market is open

If 1 is chosen “at the next regular trade window”, the executions will occur at the next regular trade window.

If 2 “as soon as possible” is chosen during market hours, the executions will occur immediately. If after market hours, the executions will occur at market open the next trading day.  To close positions immediately, login to your brokerage account Client Portal on your broker's website or contact your broker directly
